  • Water Wall: The city of Houston has a landmark in form of this Water Fall which is a cool and revitalizing oasis that draws visitors and locals in hordes. This place is perfect to stop and linger while the cool breeze brings along tiny drops of water. Those of you who plan to marry soon can think of throwing your wedding party here at the Water Wall as it is also one of the popular wedding venues. For others it is a soothing experience and you will also find local people like business men and women at this place who come here for a short refreshing break.

  • Children's Museum of Houston: If your kids are with you on your holiday tour to Houston, then do not forget to take them to this amazing Children’s Museum of Houston. This beautiful building was inaugurated in 1984 with an aim of interactive teaching. The kids enjoy fun and learning activities while they are in the museum. This museum has nine separate galleries covering history, cultures, fine and performing arts, technology, science and geography. Don’t worry; the museum doesn’t let the parents waste their time while their kids are busy. Adults can spend there time in the Teacher and Family Resource Center where they can know about the extra teaching materials that help enhance creativity. A snack bar is available to satisfy hunger.

  • Space Center Houston: Houston has it name linked to space travel since the launch of Apollo flights. This space center in Houston gives it visitors a chance to know about the making of space history. This place has five-story plaza which features a full-size shuttle mock-up, complete with flight deck. Visitors can always hire the guided tram tour which takes them around the space center. On your trip to Space Center Houston you will see original Mission Control room and full-size mock-ups of the original Apollo rockets too. If the trip makes you hungry grab a bite at the Zero-G restaurant.

  • Asian American Festival: This fabulous Asian American Festival takes you to the journey of culture and traditions of Asia. Begun in 1980, this festival is the largest Asian cultural festival in America. Spectators from various cultures, backgrounds and generations are pulled towards the Miller Theatre each year to witness numerous programs portraying the cultural heritage of Asian countries such as Vietnam, India, China, and Cambodia. The atmosphere is full of joy and celebrations and performers share their rich folklore through dance, music, martial arts and theater. How can anyone afford to miss this enjoyable festival?

  • Museum of Fine Arts: This place caters to the visitors who have a craving to enjoy the exhibits on ancient as well as modern art. This museum of fine arts mainly exhibits art collection from Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania and America. Here you will find Fredric Remington's fine western art blending with medieval artwork and the work of early European artists.  Along with the lovely paintings this museum also has a pretty sculpture garden worth viewing. Glassell School of Art and the Hirsch Library for Art History worship this museum as their abode. Some love it for the weekly shows of classic and foreign films. You can shop some gifts for your friends from a nearby gift shop.

  • Hermann Park: If you visit this Hermann Park in Houston it will be equivalent to visiting numerous tourist spots at one time because this very park has lots of things to do along with many tourist attractions. This park has a zoo, an outdoor theater, a Japanese garden and a golf course. The Zoo has a wonderful animal collection of more than 4500 animals and 800 species. Thus it is a perfect place for a full fledge family picnic. To double the picnic fun the visitors can ride the miniature train, rent paddle boats, or simply leisure walk and enjoy the panorama. It is only a few minutes from Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. You can visit it if you still have time after the park picnic.
